Sponsor Foster Benefits Presents:

Fact Finding: The Consultative Foundation

(CE #103874)

Today’s health and welfare benefits environment is experiencing rapid fluctuation in the cost of health care, plan design options and governmental compliance. Employers can no longer afford to take a product driven, spreadsheet approach to employee benefits. The emerging trend is for the broker to develop a long-range strategic benefit plan for their clients.

Development of such a plan requires complete and concise information to be available to the benefits consultant, which Jay Huminsky, your DAHU President Elect, will expand on. The foundation of sound plan analysis is the fact finding process utilized by the broker.

Jay entered the health insurance industry in 1985 as a Brokerage Manager for Golden Rule Insurance before “jumping the fence” to become an Employee Benefits Specialist with his current company, IPS Advisors (formerly Insurance Partners Southwest) in 1989.

Jay is a US Army veteran, a graduate of Purdue University and has obtained his Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) and Registered Employee Benefits Specialist (REBC) designations.

Linen Drive to Support Operation Once in a Lifetime

Please consider bringing new linens for donation to DAHU's current public service project - Operation Once in a Lifetime, a LOCAL non-profit that supports our military (veterans and active duty). Donated linens will be provided to soldiers coming home to Texas bases from deployment. The military does not provide the items that are being requested below, which show our service members that they are appreciated and should feel "at home" in their living quarters.

Please consider bringing twin bed sheets and pillowcases ($9.42/set at Walmart), fleece blankets that can be rolled up, pillows and/or unisex personal toiletries. Of course, a monetary donation can be accepted as well. The President of Operation Once in a Lifetime, Patrick Sowers, will be present at the luncheon, so make DAHU proud and bring a donation!
